Meet the Doctor
One of the most rewarding aspects of dentistry is the opportunity to develop long-term relationships with our patients. Our practice has developed a reputation for providing comprehensive, personalized dental care for the Renton community for over 30 years. It's truly a privilege to serve our patients and make a difference through the care we provide.
Dr. Eric Wagar, DMD
Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology (FICOI)
Education
Dr. Wagar attended the University of Redlands in southern California, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. He received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon.
Continuing Education
Dr. Wagar is passionate about dentistry and striving to provide the most up-to-date technology and procedures for his patients. He routinely takes more than twice the required amount of continuing education hours in our state. He has a particular interest in the placement and restoration of dental implants. Following many hours of post-graduate advanced training, he earned Fellowship status in the International Congress of Oral Implantology, one of the pre-eminent dental implant organizations in the world. This designation is awarded to dentists who have committed themselves to advanced training and have shown a high level of skill and judgment.
Outside the Office
Dr. Wagar is originally from Yakima, Washington, but now resides in Seattle with his wife and 2 daughters. He enjoys volunteering his time with the Seattle Union Gospel Mission's dental clinic, Give Kids a Smile Program, and in northern Haiti as part of medical/dental teams. When not practicing dentistry, he enjoys playing tennis, fishing, hiking, skiing, and attending Seattle sporting events.

Office Manager
Chris
I have worked in dentistry for over 40 years, and spent the last 32 years in this office. I enjoy helping our patients with their insurance questions and scheduling their appointments. One of my favorite parts of our office is getting to know many of our patients. I have known several for over 32 years and count them as my friends! In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my two grandsons. I like to escape the rain and travel to warm places like Mexico and the Caribbean!

I've worked at Benson Hill Smiles since 2002, and I really enjoy the relationships I've built with our patients. I enjoy working with our experienced team and the technology we have in the office to help provide the best care for our patients. I'm married and have two boys. In my spare time I like to cook and hike.

I've been a part of the team since 2009. My favorite part of my job is meeting new people and building lasting relationships. It's very important to me that my patients have a comfortable experience every time. My husband Le and I have two children. We like travel and spend time with family and friends. Our favorite vacation spot is Cancun!

I've been a part of the Benson Hill Smiles team since 2022, but have worked in dentistry since 2005. I strive to help patients have a fun and comfortable experience so they enjoy coming into the office. I take my role as a dental assistant very seriously. I enjoy pursuing continuing education to keep up with my knowledge and skills. My husband and I have one son and 2 golden doodles! In my free time I enjoy hiking, woodworking, and house projects. Our family loves to spend time with my parents and travel with them whenever we can. Our favorite vacation spots are Lake Chelan and Hawaii!
